One of the few speakers that has seen extensive use in both pro-studio and audiophile environments, the 801 is high on my personal wish-list…  someday I’ll replace my Dahlquist DQ-12s with these…

The most amazing system I ever heard was circa 1986 – I’ve never forgotten it: B&W 801F Specials driven by Audio Research D250 MK II Servo amplifier playing Opus 3 “Depth of Image”. Thirty years later and the impression is still indelible.

I own a pair of these amazing loudspeakers. Bought them in 1980. The sound is still own of a kind. The lows are there if they are in the program material. Never listening fatigue.
A joy for life!

I have a pair of these that were bespoke for the Dallas rep. Mine are Rosewood and are made from matched knotted veneers that were usually waste in the process. They were used with a aftermarket crossover, so the built in crossover was bypassed during the original owner. They are non F speakers but the heads were upgraded to FC heads. They are for sale.
