Chris,
I am trying to get information on the Shure M-66 Passive Phono Preamp.
I finally surmised that it has a mic line output thanks to the ad that you posted here. I am getting a mic preamp to boost the signal to Line Level to hand of to my amp. I was wondering why this device was created given the many active phono preamp models at the time including Shure's own M-64 and SE-1 units. I'm speculating that a passive phono was less prone to hum and other ground issues caused by the PSU. Any input is greatly appreciated.
