The C stood for Ceramic and that had a Ceramic element vs the stock crystal element. The ceramic had smoother response but less output. The Ceramic is kinda rare. A very high end CB radio, the ARF-2001 came with a custom Mic with that Ceramic head and a special amplifier in the base of the stand.]]></description>
