Hi Richard, I checked the files and no, sorry I do not have. I would suspect that any 'pro' guitar shop in a metropolitan area should be able to service it for you, it's a very simple device. good luck - CR

Dave:
Any chance of getting one of the CD's with the historical documents? I"ve got about 4 Magnecords in the collection ( a 100 Magnecordette, a few 748's and 1028's ,etc).
Thanks!

I enjoy your web sight a lot.
I visit "NHK museum of broadcasting" in Tokyo Japan weeks back and I saw PT6 amp unit and drive unit. But amp unit was not looks like PT 6-J that I have. It was looks like 3 channel input amp.
I saw your picture of your "Final Testing Section" and it was similar to the one which is on the floor near inspecter's foot. The museum have no information about this amp but they used once awhile. Do you have any information about this one?

Palmer,

If you still have that transformer can you let me know? You can email me through the website at westcoastramblers.com
I did find a Merrit transformer but it has 6600 primaries and 500 ohm secondary with the 16 and 4 ohm taps. It should work but maybe a direct replacement would be better? It's also a bit bigger but I think I can get it to fit.

Thanks,
Steve

Why is their first product: the incredible SD-1 wire recorder not mentioned here?
DETAILS SUMMARY: CAPSTAN DRIVEN; 2 SPEEDS: 24 & 48 IPS; AC BIASED; BALANCED I/O; 19" MOUNT; STATIC HEAD

What information might survive about the manufacturing, sales and marketing of the SD-1? When and in what venue was it introduced? How many were built and sold and to which customers them? My redesign of an Ampex AG440 (for my use) was highly inspired by, and an operating tribute to it.

Best Regards,
Art

I have the output transformer that you need. With the specifications that you state, your unit would use 6L6 output tubes (or 5881). There are also Magnecord electronics that use 6V6 output tubes. I have output transformers for both versions, plus many other parts for the mechanical transport and electronics chassis.
