Oh my. In the sixties when I was playing in a small rock ensemble the guitarist had a new fuzz pedal. That bewildered my father. He said “I’ve spent my entire career trying to achieve as clean a signal as possible and now you’re creating distortion on purpose.” He was an RCA Sound Contractor.
