Hi All
I have a Pilot SP-210 preAMP and the ORIGINAL Amp (RC-232) which is probably from c1960. It has not been used for quite a long time but has been carefully sitting on a shelf waiting for somebody to buy. Has all original tubes, etc. Any interest??

Further to my above - anyone has a schematic for the above who can email to me per above. Mine is 1 of the 4 I've. The other 3 are:The Fisher X-100-A(w/ a KM-60 Stereo tuner), Rogers HG-88 Mk1 & Heathkit AA-100.
I'll modify & upgrade them. I tested their tubes &substituted as required from my vast collection of tubes. I test my tubes on my "bible" AVO VCM3, Triplett 3444 & Taylor 45D2 - all calibrated & worked on by myself.
The amps will use 2 Gold Tannoy 12" Dual Concentric in huge cabinets, which have appropriate glass wool padding.

Hi Jack
Perhaps you can email me the schematic of the Pilot (SM-)245A amp. I've 1 & after powering it some smoke started & there was a burning smell. I looked around & measured. I think 1 or more caps is shorted or that's how they measure(not full shorts) - being on the Cathodes resistors. I also think I'll change the selenium Rectifier w/ Silicons.
I've a schematic, but it's not clear.
Thank you, Dany Friedman, Toronto, Canada, danjude10@hotmail.com & danjude5@aim.com

I have a Pilot Model 252 receiver that's been in regular use since sometime around 1975/1976. I bought it from the couple living in the apartment across the breezeway from mine. I had no idea until today that the name still commands respect and that some Pilot products are sought after. I mostly listen to FM stations, but also play music CDs through it. It's got great sound! Still have the Operating Instructions and owners manual. Never thought it might have value and be collectable for someone.

I recently picked up a 6B500 Pilot console. Model 500 amp and model 500 pre/tuner and optional Model 120 MPX adaptor. Haven't ID'd the model of Garrard AutoSlim tt yet. I believe the 500 was only available in this console. Mine is from 1963. If this is what you have it is the baby brother to the SA-232. amp and certainly no slouch. It's my 1st Pilot and probably won't be my last based on the good sound from this unit.
