I have a Presto 900-RI reel to reel tape deck with its companion Recording and reproducer pre-amplifier. I also have the power-supply that goes with this Presto 900-RI tape deck. The serial number on the tape deck is 312. And I also have a Presto K-11 disc recorder that I restored several years ago. Are these recorders worth anything?

I don't know about the box, but I do know that at least one presto disk was used to record interviews in Japan. I bought the disk at a thrift store, and uploaded the audio to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86ODqkfLU3U&index=2&list=PL7S37hqx3dovRdBFd01GsSIbqa6NAihrJ if you're interested.

I bought, at a thrift store in apex, a "presto" brand disk with interviews on it. It's dated 1954, and recorded at 33 1/3 RPM on one side and 78 RPM on the other. It was very dusty when I bought it. I uploaded the audio at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86ODqkfLU3U&index=2&list=PL7S37hqx3dovRdBFd01GsSIbqa6NAihrJ if you're interested.
I have a few pieces of Presto gear. I have a K8 which is working perfectly but is missing the cover with build in Speaker.
I also have a 6N Which i have mounted a Neumann MS52 cutting head with.
I would like to find a original cutting amp to match the 6n but they cost a hefty penny!

Nice site and really great information!

We had 6 Presto 64As in the original wood cabinets at Far East Network Iwakuni, Japan, when I was there in the early 1960s. That building has long since been torn down and I'm sure the equipment is gone. You can find some pix of the gear if you google "Sounds of the Far East Network" and click on "Studios," then "Iwakuni." I think the turntables are mis-identified in those photos.
