I have the SB-7 and these are like an unknown gem. Soundstaging is really top, bass is very clean, vocals in the middle and those leaf tweeters popping out magical stuff around the outsides.. not many speakers sound like this, especially from 1980. With room EQ and a good amp (they really do need a good amp!) they deliver goods that I’ve only really heard on expensive systems.

I still have it complete with the SB-10 and speaker stands. Amp could use volume control cleaned but, speakers work like new!

I loved the sound of them with my huge old Kenwood receiver, but it died recently and I replaced it with a new smaller stereo system that came with a set of very small speakers. I hooked mine up to it instead but the sound isn’t as full. Do I need to change the settings on the speakers? I never messed with them and don’t know anything about that. They have adjustments for midrange and tweeter.

Hi Lon from NZ have owned a set of SB10 since 1981 and use them regularly along with a mission turntable and Sure V15 type 1V cartridge on a Technics mini system. Great for the leftovers of my record collection,and a few late arrivals.
