Actually a total of 5 were made. Mike Fuller used one at Criteria Studios, Brian Ingolsby had one at Soundmaster Recording in N. Hollywood, and Steve Hall had one at Future Disk Systems in Hollywood. They were NOT used for test pressings, they were used for mastering. Many a record was made with these lathes. The lathe was designed by Tom Lippel and a few of his friends. Tom and I designed the Cybersonics Mastering Console shortly afterwards. Perhaps, with all the new interest in vinyl, it would be a good machine to ressurect?
