Weird that you should say, but when I played Mrs. Smith’s version of “Little Black Star” for my girlfriend, sometime in November last year, I remarked that it belonged in a Lynch movie. Same for the song you put on your mix–that’s exactly what I was thinking when I heard it just now (listened to most of that LP for the first time tonight–most of it is not so good). I have a definite perverse fascination with these”straight” folk-revival type records and their hidden gems. An odd way to find your blog for the first time. Thx, H
