The first Preservation Sound Radio program of 2024 will air Tuesday January 16 at 8:30PM EST on WPKN 89.5 FM Bridgeport. You can also catch it at WPKN.org as a live stream and for two weeks in the Show Archive.
I believe that this is the first ‘all-jazz’ program that I’ve done. It spans a variety of styles contemporary to the period 1967-1980. Soul jazz, spiritual jazz, Latin, jazz-funk, and lots of ECM-label progressive jazz tracks.
As always, the entire program is assembled from the original vinyl LPs via Technics 1200 with Shure 44-7 cart, Russco broadcast preamp, SSL convertors.
